The next Lates event takes place on Friday 6 July, 6pm-10pm, during the Make the Future Live festival in London. The festival is open as usual and you can enjoy all there is to offer in an adult-only setting. The main stage act is a live podcast hosted with Intelligence Squared, the world’s premier forum for debate and intelligent discussion. Our celebrity host will chair another fascinating debate on the technologies that are shaping our future. As always, the focus is firmly on what we can do to manage the changes that are taking place around us, and help raise awareness of the energy challenges ahead. There will be a live band after the podcast.

Catch up on our other Intelligence Squared podcasts:

Carbon Neutral Cities: at our June 2017 Make The Future Live Lates event, gadget guru Jason Bradbury chaired the debate on how technology could create the carbon-neutral city. The panel included environmentalist Tony Juniper, engineer and Silicon Valley investor Kelsey Lynn Skinner, and award-winning actor and broadcaster Richard Ayoade.
